Question about getting new doors.

Hi guys, first post here... I have a 4 door sedan and 3 of the doors need to be replaced due to rust at the bottom.

So my question is, is it possible to take the rear quarter glass out and install it into the new door for the one rear door it needs?

The reason it's important to me is that the car is tinted with llumar platinum plus, a discontinued film, and I really do not want to re tint the car with normal charcoal tint.

Thanks!

Yes the glass is removable but it can be a PAIN to take out. Watch some videos on it and try not to scratch the tint. May not be a bad idea to look around at some junkyards to see if you can get used doors for a third the cost of new ones

Thanks for the info, and yes I am working with my body shop to locate and secure used doors from states that have no snow therefor no rust etc. New doors aren't even necessary from what I've been told.

If you are buying new oem doors they will just come as a shell with nothing in them. Just the metal shell. Everything will need to be transferred. If you are buying used doors it’s good practice to gut the used door and transfer all the known working parts and wiring harness from your doors to the new to you donors. I have ran into an issue where a customer didn’t transfer and his door locks and windows didn’t work so he brought it to us. Come to find out the doors came off the same year truck but a few months newer and apparently dodge changed a couple wiring pin outs in the harness so his used doors didn’t have the same wiring as his old ones.

I will most likely getting used doors and transferring the interior..its a C32 amg and those are kind of difficult to source interior panels since they're unique to the car so We'll be transferring everything, hopefully that includes the quarter glass as thats really my only concern. Thanks for your reply and helpful info!
