The comments are the sort of circle jerk you would expect from people who decided to try to live off of risky investments instead of getting a real job.

But don't you get it, they're the real victims here. Definitely not their fault for trying to rent out places they have active mortgages on, using the tenets to literally buy their property for them and keep them fed.

I really wonder why most of these guys don’t seem worried about the fact that private capital is snatching up properties left and right. If I were blackrock or some similar investment company, I would do what they’re doing which is buying up the properties at above market value, then I’d be renting them below market value for a little while to squeeze smaller landlords out, acquire their properties, rinse repeat.

Welcome to r/LandlordLove! A tenant-friendly, leftist space for critiquing Landlords and the archaic system of Landlording as a whole. Please get acquainted with our sub's rules.

To keep our sub from being banned, remember to follow Reddit's TOS. Do not brigade linked subs. r/LandlordLove draws in a lot of reactionaries and boot-lickers. Please do not feed the trolls--report them!

Lastly our sub has a focus on left-unity. Though we encourage discussion in good faith, our sub is not a debate sub. It is a place for leftists of all stripes. In a world ruled by fascist imperialist powers, solidarity amongst leftists is needed if we ever hope to effect real change. Breaking left-unity and/or hostile comments meant to start debates will result in a ban.
