What kind of lightbulb do I need?
I have lived in my house for two years (slightly embarrassed it’s been so long) and there is one ceiling light that has always been without a bulb. I don’t know what kind of suitable lightbulb to ask for at the homeware store. How do I find out?

Take a picture. Show that picture to the hardware store employee. Buy the same light bulb.
I don’t know what type of bulb was in it before. Will they know just from the socket shape?
Take a picture of the whole thing.
