[California] Brand new license plates damaged in the mail during shipping?
Got a new car and my new plates just came in the mail. It arrived damaged and the corner is all dented and curled up.
I'm one of those people who is OCD about their car(regular washes, detailing, parking as far away as possible in a crowded parking lot, etc) so this is really gonna bother me esp on a new car. Can I get a free replacement from it being damaged in the mail?
Would I have to go through my dealer or the DMV?

Dude just bend it back into shape. If your really picky about it though, dmv MAY switch the plates for $23. I say MAY because your supposed to have a legit reason for switching them. I don’t know if a little dent on the corner will let them switch em, but you can try.
