QUESTION: Onewheeling in populated city filled with M@ss Holes

So I've now had my onewheel for a little less than 4 months just hit the 750 mark.
I want to know peoples opinion on dealing with @$$'$
It's starting to really take the fun out of floating.
I've been so temped to put headphones in and completely block the world out but I still get sketched about things I don't expect.

Live in a city with about 100k ppl within 30 sq miles. I didn't expect the amount of attention, stupid questions and corny quotes (you guys know em, does that have a battery, pop a wheely, how fast that go) This is starting to give me anxiety.
I guess I have to limited myself and not talk to anyone while riding.
Anyways I'm probably venting right now.

How do you all deal with it?
