New Employee Rant?
I’ve only worked for WalMart for about 3-4 months. I normally pick and my pick rate is usually well over 100. The past couple weeks I’ve been moved over to dispensing. I would say I’m comfortable with quarterbacking, dispensing, and all and all working the back room. However I don’t feel like I should have to dispense every day for the entirety of my shift when there are others with lower pick rates, people who just stand around and talk, and people who just sit in the break room all day.
I have voiced to my manager that I don’t really enjoy dispensing (I’m sure nobody really enjoys it) and he still keeps putting me back there for my whole shift. Meanwhile others get to do the same task everyday or pretty much pick where they get to go. I wouldn’t have an issue if everyone was rotated from picking to dispensing but it seems like this is going to be my new spot.
It’s just not really fair that you have coworkers who date each other and do pick walks together, do exceptions together, and are never separated or moved from their positions to dispense.
I’m sure I’m just ranting and complaining but does anyone have any advice or help with this issue? It was well over 100 degrees today and I had to dispense my entire shift when many people never even have to go in the dispensing room.
If online grocery is dispensing, picking, and exceptions why doesn’t everyone rotate? Or at least the people doing less work then me with lower pick rates?
I’m getting tired of having to dispense for 8+ hours straight so I changed my availability today to hopefully get away from it. It just doesn’t seem fair. I’m all for doing a job and getting paid to do it but I feel like I’m working harder then others who get the same paycheck as me.
