Good story bad dialog

I’ve been noticing a lot of the melodrama is a little paint by numbers. “The lies you tell yourself” “can I trust a Loki?” “You can trust a friend” I get that this is suppose to be a redemption arc for Loki but a buddy cop dynamic seems a little to put of place sometimes for this to work for me.
