What’s your “red line in the sand” with Disney?

AskWDW

I’ve been on here like a lot of you for some time vocalizing my displeasure with certain decisions Disney has made. It seems that in the Chapek era, we will witness perhaps the greatest transition from the Disney World we knew to the one that will exist for the foreseeable future.

Some of the decisions I have been bothered by include:

Paying for parking at resorts, cutting the band at GF, eliminating magical express, not providing complimentary magic bands, and today’s decision to modify extra magic hours by extending park hours only for deluxe resort guests.

The last decision is especially egregious, I think. It makes a certain type of resort guest feel like they are less-than others. This isn’t about a perk given to people for choosing to stay with Disney. It also isn’t a ticketed seasonal event. It’s a classicist move that stands against what I’ve always felt made WDW magical.

I know a lot of you may feel ok with all of these decisions. Or you may think that some are justified more than others. That’s alright. But what I’m talking about are the things that upset me, which I’ve seen other people here express their disagreement with as well.

So, I’m not saying I’ll never go. We want long to be back in the parks. But I do feel that we’ve lived through the glory days and that a lot of these decisions won’t allow us to view the park experience in the same way.
