Friend in accident with bus now being sued by passengers

FL. My friend side swipped a public trolley and while it was minor damages to the vehicles, state law says my friend was at fault. There were no injuries or paramedics at the scene, but now more and more letters from different attorneys are coming in and we think one person said "we should sue" and everyone is jumping on board. Is there any good counter defense against this? Thank you for any advice!
