CCmagic on Linux?

Has anyone gotten CCmagic to work on Linux?

I'm worried about the lag that may be caused by installing through the launcher (sims3packs) I do have the nraas mods people recommend to help reduce lag, I'm just not sure if installing through the launcher will make it lag a bit like it did before.
