Should I accept a job offer to a company that plans on being acquired fairly soon?

Other

I just had an interview with a company that I really want to work for in a city I love and I think the interview went great. Unfortunately, the interviewer told me that the company is looking to be acquired within the next year or so by a large pharmaceutical company. The company sells a medical device that has been doing very well and acquisition has been their plan since the beginning.

The interviewer was honest with me and told me he's not sure what's going to happen to the team when it's acquired. Either they keep everyone or they're going to lay everyone off so I'm very nervous about accepting if they make a job offer. I'd be moving to an entirely new state for this job.

For context, I specialize in writing content, video production, copywriting, and marketing. This job is for a copywriter position. I'm fairly confident in my resume as I've gotten three requests for interviews in the two weeks that I've been applying, but I don't want to be too cocky.

Should I take the risk and accept the job offer if they decide to hire me or keep looking?
