Going Xbox for the first time since 2002 with Cloud Gaming — questions

Hi all,

Thanks in advance for any recommendations here. I grew up loving the Super Nintendo / N64 / Xbox, but just have been out of console gaming mostly since probably Halo 2. I just don't have the time with work or the space to get a full setup these days, but I feel like the idea of streaming could be ideal.

I would like to go buy a controller and headset this week to get rolling before the holiday weekend, and wanted to get some advice because I couldn't find anything great online.

I will be subscribing to the Cloud Gaming, and using my iPad Pro and Macbook to play. I guess I would buy the Xbox Series X controller, but what headset should I get? Is there a Microsoft one that has a great mic that can also bluetooth to Apple hardware? Or should I just use Airpods?

What games should I check out? Trying to think back over time of favorite games ever: Super Mario World, Mario Kart, Halo, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Grand Theft Auto Vice City.

Seeing the trailer for the new Halo this fall just has me excited. I'll probably be terrible at it, but it will definitely bring me back to the high school and college days of LAN parties and goofing around. I'm stoked that technology has come this far.
