Learn with Fujifilm XT3 or jump to BMPCC 4K or 6K (+/-Pro)

Hello everyone! I'm fairly new to filmmaking, but I've been learning quite a bit from tutorials and discussion boards for some time now. I have a few concerns/questions regarding whether I should make the transition to the highly coveted black magic platform from fujifilm now or wait until I am better at filmmaking.

  1. Beyond basic cinematography, I would say one of my highest priorities is to become an excellent colorist in davinci resolve. I understand BRAW has a much higher bitrate than the 200 or 400 MBps that I'm limited to on my XT3. I also noticed that BRAW allows me to change WB, tint, and ISO. Although I have improved significantly at being a colorist since when I first started, I'm not sure if I am hindering myself by practicing on 10bit 4:2:0 over BRAW at the moment?
  2. A large fraction of the "cinematic" enthusiast consumer camera videos I see online seem to come from BMPCC and sometimes GH5 camera owners. I'm having trouble figuring out if my fujifilm XT3 lacks potential for filmmaking and that's why I can't find good examples of its possibilities online, or there is just significant selection bias because professional filmmakers tend not to use the XT3/XT4. Maybe I'm just not searching correctly to find more professional fujifilm XT3/XT4 filmmakers.
  3. I am kind of also worried about investing too heavily into the fujifilm ecosystem with x-mount cine or cine-like lenses and other gear the longer I stick around. I've never really sold camera gear on the used market before.
  4. While I don't have to go into debt to buy it, I feel like the base bmpcc 4k/6k (+/- pro) prices of $1300-2500 are deceiving with how much more I'll have to spend to get them up to par. I constantly see the need for rigging and good lenses being mentioned all over the place. The $3000-4000 final cost wouldn't seem as small anymore

I know my thoughts are kind of all over the place with this and some of this is subjective, so please forgive me. I guess I'm just trying to figure out the "when" to upgrade rather than the "if" to upgrade.
