Looking for realistic Edo/Tokugawa-era anime

Recommendation

Hi there r/anime!

I'm a long-time otaku (you may remember me as ONVPodcast, Geek Archaeology, or Anime Archaeology on YouTube) who's particularly interested in historical anime in this post.

I'd love to watch anime set in the Edo/Tokugawa era that contain no fantastical elements. An occasional over-the-top anime jump is okay; Ninja Scroll is not. ;-) Nothing against fantastical Edo-era anime; just narrowing my field.

What I have so far:

  • Angolmois: Record of Mongol Invasion
  • Basilisk
  • Carried By the Wind: Tsukikage Ran
  • House of Five Leaves
  • Ninja Girl and Samurai Master (Chidori's death-dealing abilities are silly, but that's comedic effect)
  • Peace Maker Kurogani
  • Rurouni Kenshin (Trust and Betrayal OVA only)

Much as I loved Samurai Champloo, it contains too many anachronisms to count. And obviously works like Dororo, Gintama, Hakuouki, The Tale of Princess Kaguya, Hakkenden (both anime versions!) and Sengoku Basara contain fantasy.

Any other suggestions?
