Using an unmanaged switch with an ethernet wall port?
TL;DR version: I want to allow multiple devices in my living room to connect to the internet via a single ethernet wall port. After setting up an unmanaged TP-Link switch and connecting two devices, only one of them (Chromecast With Google TV) can access the internet and the other one (Playstation 4) can't. I know the issue is not the ethernet cable that goes to the PS4. Is there some way I can configure my network and/or the living room ethernet wall port to allow multiple devices to access the internet simultaneously?

Hi everyone,
Hoping for some help, because I don't know much about home networking and am not sure how to proceed.
The house we rent has existing network wiring with various ethernet wall ports around the house, including the office and living room. I don't know how old the wiring is or have any other specifics, but I'm sure it's not state-of-the-art.
I currently have Google Fiber and chose "use my own router" when it was installed in late 2020, so I could keep using my existing Google Nest router and two wifi access points (which I had set up when I had Cox internet).
The Google fiber jack had to be installed upstairs in the closet of our master bedroom, since that's where the house's network box is located. The fiber jack isn't connected directly to the Google Nest router, because the closet location would lead to bad wifi coverage. Instead, the fiber jack is currently connected via Cat-6 ethernet cable to a TP-Link unmanaged switch, which in turn is connected to a patch panel in the network box that enables the different ethernet ports around our house. Photo here: https://ibb.co/xHrBRg1. Our Google Nest router is located downstairs in the office, where it plugs in to one of the wall ethernet ports; my PC gets wired internet from the Google Nest router, and our two wifi access points work with the router for the mesh network.
Now we come to the problem... In our living room, I'd like to have wired internet connections for both my Chromecast With Google TV (via its separate ethernet adapter) as well as my Playstation 4, for faster speeds. To do that I thought I just needed another unmanaged switch, so I set that up today. The Chromecast can access the internet via the switch, but I can't get the Playstation 4 to *also* get internet via the unmanaged switch. I know the PS4's ethernet cable works because I also tried it with the Chromecast. I also tried connecting my TV to the unmanaged switch and got the same result as with the PS4, and neither device could access the internet.
Based on the research I've done, it seems that the issue might be that the living room ethernet port is assigned a single IP address, so more than one device wouldn't be able to access the internet via that port, despite having the unmanaged switch.
Does this seem to be my issue? Is there some way I can configure the living room ethernet port to allow multiple devices to access the internet simultaneously via an unmanaged switch? If so, is that something I would need to change via the Google fiber jack, the Google Nest router, or something else?
Apologies in advance if I'm missing something obvious. Like I said, I don't know much about home networks, so any help would be very much appreciated!
