Am I too old to study for a career in physics ?
Hello everyone ! I recently just turned 25 years old and I was never a "good student" back when I was a teenager. I was skipping all the time and was really not interested in school at all. It just seemed so pointless for me at this age.
As I grew up, I started to really enjoy watching documentaries on YouTube about Math, Physics and all that and also started a programming career, which I got accepted in school not because of my good grades but because I had the skills, since I have been programming since a very young age. I just finished and I now am ready to find a job.
But I really have this desire and passion about science and physics and I really enjoy learning. People like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Nikola Tesla, those people are like a model to me and I admire everything they have done and I wish I took a better path once I was young and follow their footsteps. The thing is , I'm already 25 years old and if I go back to school it would take a good 4-5 years and so much work.
So I have a choice. Either find a job and hoping I don't ever regret not going to school, or pushing my study to satisfy that desire and passion that I have and live for a student with a low budget for a good amount of time..
I know every choice is personal and I know myself better than everyone, but I am very struggling with this and I hope some of you had the same kind of struggle so I can relate a bit and take some suggestions and tips that would help me make a decision and motivate me. Or perhaps share me your experience. Thanks for those who answer me !
