What jobs do INTPs have?

I read an article a long while ago about INTP's incomes. I can't find it, but the point was that about 40% of INTP's made less than the average US salary ($45k last time I checked) and about 40% made like 3x the average US salary, then the other 20% made the average US salary.

I thought that was interesting because as an INTP I would rather make next to no money working on something I find interesting, rather than getting paid a lot working on something that I hate.

The other thing I thought was interesting is that it seems like half of us are interested in things that society consider "valuable" like tech, science, and higher education things. And the other half find things interesting that have no connection to what society cares about, but they are still very interested in it.

My question to the group is what do you do for a living? Which which income bracket would you fit into? And, if your career wasn't paying you well, what you would do about it?

I'm a web developer, and fit just above the average US income.

If I wasn't comfortable with my income level, I would try and find a way to make more while also letting me have time on the side to pursue the things I was interested in.
