[Plan] I challenged myself to overcome my addiction - 1st Update

Hi everyone, so happy to update!

It's been a week and a half (ish) since I wrote down my plan (link to that here) and shared it to the internet. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't know social pressure can help you get started, by the way, you should try it.

I suck at telling things in order so I'll explain the things that happened as it comes to mind. I didn't decided the day to do the dopamine fasting yet, as I wanted to go real smooth, taking one step at a time. I promise I'll have that scheduled next time!

I've been paying attention to how I feel and think, focusing to change this two aspects. I used (and tend) to think negatively, and I noticed that made me less prone to do things, so I started using affirmations to work on this, wich was effective to put me into work sometimes. The other times, I'd just followed the "just do it" motto and procceeded to action, without thinking.

The outcome has been great! I'm definitely more productive and optimistic about myself in general, and I'm achieving to do more things in a day. I'm drawing more often than before, doing exercise once a week and working with my dad three times a week.

I forgot if I said this in the other post, but I have a project that is making a comic, and I'm sooo excited because I'm making progress in that again!!

Another part of my progress is due to me taking moments to really appreciate each achievement I made. I used to believe that I couldn't achieve much, or that I wasn't good enough to accomplish things by myself, so being grateful helped me a lot.

Well, I'm focusing in the good things, that's for sure. But not everything is smooth and easy. I think before the third day or so, my craving for games came back again, each day stronger than before. Initially it wasn't a problem not to pay attention this kind of "need", but now I recognize that it's becoming difficult*,* guess I don't know how to take a break, that should be why.

You know those days when you're so unmotivated that you don't want to even wake up? Well, that was today. In fact, yesterday I realised I was a bit down, I don't know why but in that moment I just wanted to keep sleeping 'till 12pm, as I usual. So I touched the "snooze for 10 minutes" button and then, with much pain, I woke up!

I'm that kind of person that hates waking up early so much that, to do so, is always irritated the first minutes of the morning. But despite my anger of not being able to have a good amount of sleep, I repeated myself "Today is a great day, today is a great day...", and not only I felt better, but also my day, indeed, was great! I did much work with my dad, did damn good excercise, read a book and still have time to write this and keep with my project!

So in summary, even though sometimes it still is difficult, I'm being more productive overall since I quitted gaming, and I feel more happy.

PD: fuck, I just realised the post is endless, hahaha! Sorry people, I love writing, and this is mostly for me anyways, so well, hahaha!

See you in the next update! Promise I'll try to be more brief!
