upsetting squish experience/scalpers??

so my local hot topic posted on facebook last night that they received 5 jaelyns and 4 tinleys in the five inch size. i showed up to the mall today, that i thought opened at 10 like it says everywhere, so i could get in line at hot topic which opened at 11. when i got there at exactly 10, there were already two moms with their kids who got there before 10 and a couple arrived at the same time as me, but stood on the other side of the entrance.

we all talked, the moms were really nice, and i talked to the couple a little bit, really just the girl. i told them i work at target and that we had a 16” bernice behind guest services for no one in particular and that i would give it to whoever wanted to come pick it up to purchase. the girl from the couple said that they might have to stop at target after getting the axos and i was truly really excited that i could help them out. the first person in line (one of the moms with her kids) asked us if we were all getting one of each, and we all agreed we were but the couple made it seem like they were buying them together because the guy never talked the entire time and they were there together just like the moms with their kids. so the woman first in line said if there were any extra jaelyns she’d get another. the person from hot topic came out and gave us all numbers and because i tried be fair i guess i said was last so i got the number 5.

well when the doors opened we all went inside at the same time in a line and the person working had all of the squishmallows set out on the counter and when i got up to the counter they were all gone. the first mom took two jaelyns, which she had stated beforehand she might, but the couple who were right in front of me both grabbed one of each and didn’t leave me with anything. not even one of whichever kind??? when the couple walked out together they had all four squishmallows in one bag, so i know they weren’t really for him but for her to sell or try to trade. BUT HERES THE KICKER they then showed up to target to buy bernice KNOWING THEY LEFT ME EMPTY-HANDED, when they could have left me SOMETHING 😐😐😐😐😐 i cannot believe the audacity

anyways the mom that got two jaelyns let me pay her for me one, who was the one i really wanted but i’m still so upset that we all waited in that line, talked, and they let me leave with nothing AND THEN SHOWED UP TO BUY BERNICE. they literally showed up right as i was putting her into one of our large bags, looked me in my EYES AND SAID HI. i informed her i had just bought bernice :)
