2017 Sti hill assists light on and traction control

Hi all.

I was trying to help a freind with their rear fog light today . During the process the hill assist and traction light came on . Brake lights don’t work .

Some research showed the brake light switch could be bad . He replaced it and is still having the same issue . The car isn’t throwing any codes . Any ideas ?
