How do you feel about players joining boss waves for exp?

I had someone try to kick me today for doing that. (Someone actually well known on this reddit but I'll keep that undisclosed). With the increased starting dosh (in my opinion), joining late doesn't really impede on late joiners effectiveness.

So where do you guys sit on this? Do you think it's bad if the late joiner carries their weight?
