Hide caught up content for currently airing episodes

I have a very minor issue that I thought I would raise because 9/10 I am doing something wrong which can be resolved pretty easily.

In Settings -> App + data management - there is a setting: "Hide caught up content" which I have switched on so that when I finish a movie or a season of a show, the tiles disappear from my "Up next" list.

Problem arises when watching a currently airing season of a show:

• I watch the latest episode
• Show disappears from "Up next" because it is caught up
• Next week, new episode airs
• Show never reappears in "Up next" even though it is no longer caught up

I generally use my "Up next" to determine what to watch at night and if the currently airing episode has aired, I tend to forget about it without the visual trigger.

Is this a bug or is there a way to make episodes from currently airing series popup when a new episode airs?
