How do veterans find help for simple tasks (ie. resume editing, running errands, job prep, a companion)?

Hello vets!

I have colleagues who were former vets and they're always needing assistance with simple tasks but it seems hard to find any.

Is it hard for you to find help or to connect with others who are willing to help?

How do you guys find help for such tasks? Is it hard even in today's technologically advanced world?
