The vault

I have an island that my players are going to ship wreck on, and find. The island has a great castle on it that has a hidden vault , and used to be the used by ancient adventures and guardians that would travel to other planes and worlds . I’m trying to think what could possibly be in here besides gold and gems . I have even thought it could be used as a prison for some powerful enemy . Any help would be appreciated!
