Just got cheesed by Minos and Theseus! [Spoilers?]

Bought the game yesterday and today I got to go on an insane shield run. I tore through Meg, straight through asphodel and got to the hydra for the first time. Somehow I killed the Hydra first go, but with like 3 health left. I thought I was done for at this point because I just wouldn't have enough health to survive, but I got the fountain and could afford a near full heal from my man Charon. I then proceeded to take on Elysium.

Of course, I instantly died to a knight trap. Just took a step and STAB. I wasn't even fighting I just didn't recognize that it was a trap. Fortunately I hadn't used my revive yet so the run continued. I didn't really see anything too difficult after that in Elysium so I managed to get to the stadium with 180/200ish health. I had seen some gameplay before so I knew I would face Minos or Theseus here, but I didn't realize they just throw both at you your first go! I thought I still might have a chance honestly; the build was feeling reaaaly strong, tons of damage, very quick hit and run, plus I had Athena's invul call that pretty much carried me. I couldn't really keep track of their movesets when they were both attacking at the same time so I just tried to react to the pink stuff flying at me. I got both of them to half health before they finally were about to kill me, but I then I hit full bar, got a big PRESS R2 FOR CALL message on screen and so I managed once last hurrah of about 20 seconds where they couldn't touch me. I still couldn't kill either of them and ended up back in Hades' lair, but I felt like I gave them a good fight. Even if they cheesed the fuck out of me with the double team. Zagreus crawled out of the blood and said just what I was thinking: "I need a rematch now."

I guess the devs really wanted to shut down that first good run you get huh?
