Audio glitch when using alt+tab

When I alt tab out of an aplication, mainly while I am talking with somebody on discord, sometimes the audio for that aplication sounds like its far away. (if discord sound does this, I have to quit and join the call, if game sound stops, I have to close and reopen the game) . This might have something to do with my audio drivers I think I just have the default realtek drivers and i have Nahimic Comparison installed by default. If anyone can help me that would be very helpful because this has been happening for months and still hasnt been fixed.
