Razer Kraken and footsteps?

Does anyone have experience with the Razer Kraken tournament edition for this game? Is the audio better using it? I had a Turtlebeach which had some problems, I think I yanked it out too many times, and quality wasn't all that great when it worked. Of course, everyone talks about how awful the audio is, which is true from experience (like I kept losing ground war because though I could hear all the silenced gunfire I couldn't hear guys who had no dead silence run into me all the time and they could hear me clear as day). But does the headset make a difference (granted I needed a new one to talk to my buds)? I used earbuds which didn't do shit better than the TB other than amplify the earsplitting VTOL.
