Well, I guess this is it. The fatal clue to the magium. Or maybe not, who knows? B3C9 spoilers
The latest chapter of magium gave us a lot. A full out magic fight, revenge against the king, barry is now the target of 2 cosmic entities, all fun stuff. However, what I believe the most important thing it gave was the clue needed for the magium. Refer back to my previous statement, where I said 2 cosmic entities. I was not refering to the god of time in this, but instead the ether and the magium. The ether is obviously sentient, in a way. And not the collection of multiple minds kind of way, but a true consciousness kind. This is obvious when barry hears both a million different voices, being all the dead souls that make up the ether, and a distict voice he picks out as the one telling him to stop before. This voice had a control over the other voices, along with a control over barry's own soul in the ethereal plane. Tell me, what other entity was able to control people's souls across planes? The magium. At the beginning of the story, we were told that the magium was the source of all magic. What if that's not wrong? The magium has also been confirmed to have an inifinite number of fragments. There are an infinite number of universes. What I'm getting at here is it's not far fetched to assume that the magium is much like the ether, a being that personifies a plane of existence. What other plane of existence is there besides the material plane? I am beginning to believe the magium is indeed The Magical Plane™. Specifically, the collection of every magical plane in all of existence, across every universe. This links itself to every universe, every timeline, and every character. This explains why the magium is able to be accessed from both the material plane and the magical plane. If you want to get into specifics, i believe it is the collective will of every magical particle forming a conscious entity, just like the ether. To further explain how the magium has the power it has, the ether was able to access barry's mind, despite a persons mind technically being separate from the ether, like it's own plane of existence. That's why flower assumed barry was safe. But he wasn't, and the ether was still able to access and attack it. Tell me, when has an entity attacked an entire plane before? The magium nearly destroyed the material plane in just the last chapter. The similarities are uncanny. I am fully open to dispute, and I may very well be wrong, but this is the most confident I've been about the question yet.
TL:DR The magium is The Magical Plane™ and good luck convincing me otherwise.
