What's working, what isn't working? Discussion Thread
How are things moving with your current projects? Any obstacles? Insights? Figure we could help each other out or just discuss art making.
I'll start:
This is a drawing of an OC I draw named "Girl". I try to draw her as much as possible. I'm working towards doing a full novel that I write and draw but I wanna make sure I'm as dialed as possible before I really get after it.
Issues: The face always takes the most tweaking out of any other area. Especially this small. It has to "look like her". If you draw characters you probably know what I mean. If it was a generic girl it'd be no problem. It looks good now but it took forever.
The folds in the clothes were mad tough at first but I sort of figured them out. They aren't perfect but they look good. It's gonna be a black t-shirt so I actually have to outline the folds in white if that makes sense. I have to really plan in advance to pull it off but it's not that big of a deal.
Succeses: The pose came really quickly. The hair was also like first try as well. Didn't need much tweaking.
Overall it's coming together quickly. It's just a practice draw, not a panel or anything.
