I'd Be Grateful For Your Thoughts (re: STRAIN WHIPLASH)

I really would be grateful for some "seasoned" thoughts on a problematic matter that's been puzzling me and inducing psychological/emotional whiplash since Feb.

Earlier this year, I thought I'd found my perfect strain (HiBuddy's DOUBLE BLACK).

BATCH 1: The initial prerolls had amazing antidepressant properties I never experienced before.

BATCHES 2-3: Both in flower and preroll form, vastly less potent and lacking the cerebral/antidepressant effects. The effects were still mildly perceptible, but not enough to be therapeutic.

RETURN TO BATCH ONE: I discovered a dispo with a few remaining old Eighths from BATCH ONE. Like night into day, the wonderful effects were present again. Until...

BATCH 4: Day's flipped back into night. Once again, this strain is as effective as Tylenol would be for a torn achilles tendon.

I emailed this disparity in vivid detail to HiBuddy. This time around, they forwarded my emails to the GM and assured me they'd compare the lab results of the batch numbers I referenced. At this point I've lost hope in any conclusive results.

Which do you think is more likely:

A.) Batch One was a normal batch and the subsequent ones have been weaker? OR:

B.) Batch One was somehow uber-potent (despite the listed 16% THC), and the subsequent batches are "normal" batches I perceived as "bad" ones because the effects weren't half as therapeutic?

It's been extremely confusing, not to mention emotionally crushing that my "perfect strain" may only be one single old batch from December 2020 that won't ever exist again.

I went for a long, long time before deciding to pose this question publicly. I waited until I felt I'd done my proper share of self-education.

ANY insight, ANY perspective, ANY reflections on ANY conceivable angle of this "strain whiplash" would be gratefully appreciated.
