Using HitFilm Express to make DVDs
So I have never done practically ANY videoediting. I am doing a video for my dad where he sells fireworks to help him out. I just bought a bunch of software, and I really don't know what I'm doing, but I'm not complaining, because I think I figured out the barebone basics. Anyway, I just have a few questions.
- How do you put chapters into a video, because I am burning these to DVDs and was wondering how you can select between chapters since it is a mix of like 30+ videos.
- How do you trim a video that you have imported, and just use the parts of it that you want? I am just using, for the most part, the middle of the video, so it would just be trimming the end and possibly some of the beginning.
- How do you burn it to a DVD? I downloaded Ashampoo, but I am seeing some people say you need something that puts it in VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders on the DVD?
That's it for now. This is actually pretty fun, I'm just drawing a blank and not getting any results for putting chapters in on google using Hitfilm Express, which is what I'm using. I bought the youtuber version ($20 I think). Thanks in advance.
Edit: Issue solved. I found a program (that’s free for now, unless maybe used for massive production or has a certain limit of DVDs you can burn) called DVD Flick. It works great has a list of the different types of video formats that it will convert to VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS files and then will continue to burn to your DVD through a program called IMGBurn. Fair warning though from what I saw on the post about this app, JUST download DVD Flick, do not try to download IMGBurn. On the article I read it a lot of times has downloads with viruses. DVD Flick has it built-in. I will post a link to the download when I get to my computer. It is a great program. Definitely recommend.
