Redoing A Previous Dentist's Work

Hi all. I am one year into my first dental job. The office I work at is kinda a revolving door of dentists. Today I had to redo a crown done in 2019 by a dentist no longer w the office. At this office, the dentist redoing the work receives no compensation. I feel like this is not fair at all. It was a three hour appointment because we do cerec crowns so there goes a large chunk of my day. I’d have no problem redoing something I didn’t do right the first time, but if I didn’t do it first I feel like I should at least be compensated as if I did it first.
