Do you recommend storing your village in the attic or basement?

I just moved and I am not sure where I want to store my village. The basement has a dehumidifier running and I would store it on a pallet incase of any flooding. The attic is a small space that I can push the boxes in, but it is very warm in the summer.

My pieces are currently store in original boxes with Styrofoam or wrapped in tissue type paper/news paper and packed in cardboard boxes.

Are there any concerns with storing in the heat? I previously store them in an attic (2 years) and didn't think much of it before.
