Will there be any significant advances in UC treatment in the next decade?

I’m newly diagnosed (woohoo) and on the good ol’ prednisone + mesalamine combo (we’ll see how this goes). Anyway this might just be the anxiety talking but I’m stressed that the mesalamine won’t be enough and I won’t respond to any of the biologics either and I’m not really sure how fast drug development is so I was wondering when we’ll start seeing new biologics being added to the treatment pool.

Edit : thanks for all the encouraging responses everyone, tbh I’ve never heard of UC before my diagnosis so I didn’t know there was any research being done on it 😅
