Methods to avoid fainting around needles?

Advice Needed

So i got my first Covid Shot a few weeks ago, and i get my second in a couple days, despite my hatred of needles i'm still really excited.

However despite my high spirits, i still felt faint and dizzy right as i got my first dose. This was my first time feeling faint around needles, despite dreading their presence, i've had various injections all my life, i used to take a growth hormone shot when i was a kid, and i take yearly blood draws because of a pre existing condition. And even though they scare the life of me, i never felt faint around them.

Don't know why that's any different about getting vaccinated, but regardless in case it happens again, are there techniques to avoid feeling dizzy right after getting vaccinated, or atleast avoid fainting all together?
