Do I stay or do I go?

I'm thinking of treading this path since I have about 250k words (170 odd stories and chapters) on HFY. I'm just totally undecided on where to go next. At what point did you decide to publish? I believe I'd have to pull everything from Reddit and Royal Road if I go KDP. The costs of a professional editor seem eyewatering, even if I put my Patreon to work. I've only been at this writing thing for a couple of years so I'm prepared to wait and see but I genuinely can't decide what to do next.
