Switching between combination pills - is my body just getting used to it?

I had been on Apri for 6 years, and I always suspected that it was giving me migraines because I always get a migraine during my placebo week. I finally asked my doctor and was prescribed a similar, lower dose pill (Kariva). I've been on Kariva for almost a month now and I've felt so anxious and emotional and had so much bloating. I'm not sure if the pill is for sure to blame, but I kind of want to switch back to the Apri because I'd honestly rather have the migraines. Has anyone else switched between similar pills and still had side effects? Also curious if anyone gets migraines during the placebo week and if you've found any solutions.
