First Time Bleaching Hair

Hi Everyone! So I just dyed my hair for the first time and used Overtone Ginger. I wanted to test doing it myself with something that would be safe if I butchered it. So I love it and would love to try other colors, but for them to look good in my hair I would have to lighten my brown hair, I have light brown hair enough for dark colors like purple and blue and the ginger to show up with out lightening. But if I wanted to do lighter colors or like a teal that pops I would need to lighten. I am not sure how to do it since I have never done it and would love recommendations for it. I have a lot of thin hair, and also psoriasis but not on my scalp, since I work hard to not let my hair or scalp get dry and I would not want to dry it out with the bleach. Please help me to learn how to do this, websites or videos would be awesome if you yourself do not have the advice. Thank you! :)
