How can I move a master page text box to affect that same box on all pages?

I have the same textbox format on every page (title, subtitle, body etc). I make a master page with those textboxes, and then start editing that on actual pages (with 'Cmd+Shift+Click').

But if I then move the text box in the master the box on each individual page doesn't move with it - does Cmd+Shift+Clicking clone the box but lose the link to the master?

How can I move the Master text box and it updates on all pages?
