Director and actor collaboration series?

Hello All,

I was thinking about how it could be interesting to do a series on the films a director did with a particular actor. This could work especially well for directors who made too many films to do a proper series on in themselves, but who worked with one actor enough times to make for an interesting arc.

For example, one of my favorite directors is John Ford, but he made far too many movies to cover on the pod if you tried to do all of them. However if you just do the ones starring John Wayne, then you have a still long, but reasonable 14 films. Similarly, you could do the films the Akira Kurosawa did starring Toshiro Mifune. You could even do shorter collabs, like Cary Grant and Alfred Hitchcock.

I think it would be interesting to explore not just a director's works, but also the relationship they had with a particular actor throughout their career.

What do you think Blankies? Do you have any actor and director collaborations you would like to see covered?
