Vibration Function/Haptic Feedback on my 3a Doesn't Work
I've had my Pixel 3a for about 2 years now and never had a problem. Last Saturday, however, I noticed several missed updates/calls/texts and figured out that my phone is no longer vibrating. I can "hear" a buzzing noise if it's very quiet but the phone doesn't vibrate (I'm guessing that's the haptic motor).
I did all the usual troubleshooting and checked all relevant settings. I cleared the Google app cache on advice from an old thread and even did a factory reset on the phone. Still no vibration for anything--notifications, keyboard, etc. No haptic feedback whatsoever.
Thought it was an isolated incident but today my wife called and said the same thing was happening to her 3a as well. I checked for updates again and my software is up to date.
This is super frustrating because I depend on that haptic feedback for notifications (my hearing isn't great). And I don't want to replace my phone because I'm waiting for the 6 to come out.
Any idea what gives? Do I need to roll back an update (if possible)?
