Completely random

I have no idea why I'm asking this but when I was a kid I went to the beach and walking back to the hotel I got chapped legs but not just my legs but everywhere and we had a pool back at the hotel and once I jumped in it I was fine.

Has this happened to anyone else and is it what I'm saying it is ?
