No internet connection. "Protocol failed", is it it ont?

My roommate moved the ont and router after which the internet stopped working.

After being on the phone with century link for an hour they said they'll send someone next week. They said the router is fine and the issue is with my outdoor equipment. I'm thinking that maybe my roommate pulled too hard to bent the fiber optic cable (he denies it).

The router says there's a wan connection but internet is always "connecting". All 4 lights on the ONT are on. Is there any way to eliminate that it's a router issue by plugging in the computer directly into the ONT?
