Prom date

Hey everyone, so I have a huge crush on this girl since I met her and now we are seniors, we have a prom coming up and I really want to take her, however I am really bad with girls, and I have never had a gf, so I’m really hoping I can’t make it with her. So far I have only asked one girl on a date throughout my life and I got rejected. Anyways I have a message lined up for her can you guys give any pointers on what I should change or add to my request? I will put down what I am asking right now. “Hey (Name), Hope ur doing good Soo.... I kinda want to say something but idk how so ima just say it like it is. I liked you since you came to (school) lmao, so like grade 3 idk haha, but yea and I still have a big crush on you, so I kinda want to ask if you would like to go to prom together?”
