Am I missing something?

I’m just now watching the episodes from last week and trying to figure out why they would ask Dean to help them steal a printing press while he has an ankle monitor tracking his movements? And why they were trying to steal it with no disguises, telling people what they were doing? I guess there are no consequences any more?
