First pistol with an optic, what is point of aim?

I got several hundred dollars in Cabela’s gift cards recently, and decided to pick up a P365 XL. They did not have anything other than the NRA edition 365 with an optic, so I ordered the standard pistol from them and the Romeo Zero direct from Sig, and they got put together tonight.

As this is my first pistol with an optic on it, I am not clear on where the red dot should go. If I co-witness with the rear sight, the dot is very low in the window, is this where I should expect to aim the dot when shooting?
