Lazy People? Nope, Your Pay/Job Sucks

Holy fuck. I AM SO FUCKING SICK & TIRED OF THESE EMPLOYERS WHO THINK LITERALLY EVERYONE BUT THEM IS A LAZY BUM WHO CAN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT AND DOESN'T WANT TO PUT FORTH ANY EFFORT/WORK/ETC.

I recently overhead a known employer who only hires at minimum wage complaining about how they can't get people to want to work/show up. Well gee. Maybe because you DON'T FUCKING PAY THEM ENOUGH! Not to mention the work conditions are mediocre at best.

You pay minimum wage, you shouldn't be surprised when you get minimum results & minimum effort. You want to people to work harder? You need to compensate them for that. A lot of people are not going to do that when there's nothing in it for them. Sorry, but self-satisfaction/pride is all well & good, but it doesn't put food on the table or pay the bills. Money does.

They like to say people aren't entitled to a living wage just because they have a job (despite that minimum wage was literally established for this reason). But if they want to play it that way, employers, you're not entitled to someone's labor either just because you exist.

You want to play capitalism, well that means you have to pay for the goods/services you want/need. If I want a bag of potato chips and the price is $3.00, I don't get all pissed off and rant & rave about how potato chips are out to screw me over & are lazy/spoiled/entitled for wanting to be paid $3.00. I don't get mad at the store for selling them for $3.00 either. I either pay the $3.00 and get my chips, buy something else, shop elsewhere, or gasp, don't buy anything and just leave.

Maybe if you can't afford to pay more, there's a problem with your business model. If your business's existence depends on paying people next to nothing and your finances are in such dire conditions that a change in the cost of labor could bankrupt you, then it's likely any significant change in ANY costs of ANY kind would bankrupt you, be it labor, advertising, supplies, or anything else.
