Close to buying 1 mkii - issues/bugs?

Was all set to sign up to a 24 month contract for the Xperia 1 ii but then I saw a few user reviews that were complaining of a buggy experience using the phone day to day. There are loads of things to love about the phone on paper but I can't be bothered with any headaches with general use. Can anyone shed any light on this please? Is it a solid workhorse or does it have issues?
