About moving to the US.

Hello there and I hope everyone is having a nice day. I would like to ask if moving to the US is really worth it, especially considering its current state. My family and I have been petitioned to move there and I was wondering if anything good would come out of it. For me personally, I wouldn't want to go at all since first, my family has its own issues and I'm pretty sure nothing would change at all when we get there. Second, I don't want to leave my girlfriend behind, especially considering the fact that her mother can be quite abusive. And lastly, I've heard and seen a lot of negative things about the US, such as the majority of the citizens being unruly, politics and media dividing everyone and making them argue one with another, a lot of racism and racial profiling, corrupt police officers, and many more. I'm not saying that these issues only happen in the US, since it also happens in other countries too. It's just it feels like it's much worse over there in the US than the Philippines.

(Honestly, a big part of me has already decided to not go. If my dad wants to go, then he can go there. Same can be said about my mum. I want to tell my dad that I don't want to go at all and that this decision of mine shouldn't affect anyone else's decision nor should a big deal be made about it.)
