Would the story of Adam and Eve mean we have limited free will?

since iirc Adam had to be physically be ejected by God after he sinned and the God of the Bible doesn't even seem to realize it right away and the story doesn't make it seem like it's an instant consequence. Therefore even if free will exists it would be limited by those factors.
